Wedding bells

Yesterday was a lucky day (7/7/07) for tying the knot, and I attended my first gay wedding. It’s been legal for a few years now in Canada, much to my delight, of course. The grooms have been together for ten years, and I feel really lucky to live in a country where they can have their union officially recognized by the state. Maybe my next gay romance will take place here at home — I do enjoy ending a book with a wedding!
Let’s hope that more countries will follow suit in the years to come. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
